What this site is
Dental Cost Estimate exists to answer one practical question: before you sit in the chair, what might a dental treatment actually cost you out of pocket? The site combines a planning calculator with plain-language guides that explain how deductibles, coinsurance, annual maximums, waiting periods, and network adjustments interact.
Why it is anonymous by design
Dental costs are personal. We built the calculator so that it never asks who you are: no account, no name, no member ID, no date of birth, and no saved results. Every calculation happens in your browser. That is a deliberate product decision, and it is why the site does not publish user testimonials or collect submissions. Read more in the Privacy Policy.
How the estimates are built
The quick estimate uses broad, rounded national planning ranges for common treatment categories. It does not use ZIP-code multipliers, because the site does not have a licensed local claims database and will not imply neighborhood-level precision. The detailed estimate applies common dental-benefit arithmetic (allowed amount, deductible, coverage percentage, annual maximum, and plan limitations) only to the numbers you enter from your own treatment plan or benefits summary. The full logic, formulas, and limits are published in the methodology.
Editorial standards
Procedure and insurance explanations link directly to the public sources used to support them. Cost pages distinguish those sourced explanations from the site's own rounded planning ranges. Pages are published under an organization-level editorial byline without a personal name or implied clinician endorsement. The complete sourcing, automated-tool, advertising-independence, and correction standards are in the Editorial Policy.
How the site is funded
The site is free to use and is intended to be supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over the estimates, the guides, or the methodology. We do not accept payment from dental offices or insurers for placement or recommendations.
What this site is not
This site is not a dental practice, an insurance company, or a broker, and it does not provide dental, medical, insurance, or financial advice. Estimates are planning figures, not quotes. Treatment decisions belong with you, your dentist, and your plan documents.
